Having your baby turn one is so bittersweet! Here is a gift list idea from what I think my little one year old will enjoy and yours probably would too! She loves Ms. Rachel, being held, PLAYING – especially with household items that aren’t necessarily meant to be toys, like buttons, the ends of strings and bolts and screws (that are attached to furniture, not loose OF COURSE.)
While this list is comprised of Amazon links (that I get a small commission on if you click any link and buy anything from Amazon). I whole-heartedly LOVE secondhand items. Over consumption, fast fashion and fast toys are a totally unnecessary problem. Kids use things for all of one second it seems. Nearly all Analise’s current toys come from our local Buy Nothing or was found at a thrift and she loves them all the same.
I would encourage anyone to support their local thrift, or secondhand shop like Once Upon a Child.
Things to Wear
Slippers
If you’ve been to our house you know we’re a slipper family. Analise is currently our little slipper anomaly. These immediately caught my eye since I got a near identical pair as a Bridesmaid gift!
Slip On Shoes
The perfect trendy little shoe for running around outside. These run SMALL. Analise is wearing a size 3 and her little foot is 4.5inches so she would fit 9-12 months WITH room to grow!
RuffleButt Footless Tights
I love to put Analise in little bloomers, bonnets and rompers. These are my favorite for layering under her outfits to keep her warm all fall, winter and spring.
Essentials
Mess Proof Bibs
Because those little cloth bibs just aren’t cutting it anymore and our thrift store finds are falling apart!
The Best Plates
Mostly baby hand safe, we’re obsessed with the couple we’ve been able to thrift, but they’ve seen better days.
Spoons and Forks
Because they’re so cute, baby spoons arent cutting it anymore and she can’t use her hands forever, right?
Body Wash
Who doesnt love an essential! We’re just about out of what we got from the baby shower! Crazy!
Wipes
Again, we love an essential. We cloth diaper and have thought about adding cloth wipes too – but just can’t seem to pull the trigger. Analise’s sensitive little booty only agrees with Honest!
